| 释义 | 資深大律師 Abbr – SC A title given to a barrister in Hong Kong in recognition of his eminence in the profession. After consultation with the chairman of the Bar Council and the president of the Law Society, the Chief Justice may appoint as a Senior Counsel a barrister who satisfies the following eligibility requirements: (a) he has, in the opinion of the Chief Justice, sufficient ability and standing as a barrister, and sufficient knowledge of the law, to be accorded that status; (b) he has the requisite experience for appointment as a Senior Counsel, in that he has, for not less than 10 years in aggregate, practised at the bar in Hong Kong or practised as an advocate while he holds office as a legal officer within the meaning of the Legal Officers Ordinance (Cap 87); and (c) he is practising at the bar in Hong Kong or is practising as an advocate while he holds office as a legal officer within the meaning of the Legal Officers Ordinance (Cap 87): Legal Practitioners Ordinance (Cap 159) s 31A(1)-(3). See also Barrister; Queen’s Counsel. 縮寫－ SC 在香港給予大律師的名銜，以認可其在大律師專業的顯著地位。終審法院首席法官可在諮詢大律師公會執行委員會主席及律師會會長後，委任符合以下資格規定的大律師為資深大律師：(a) 獲終審法院首席法官認為具有作為大律師的足夠能力及聲望，和對法律有足夠的認識使該大律師獲給予資深大律師的地位；(b) 如任何大律師已有合計不少於10年時間在香港的大律師專業中執業，或任職《律政人員條例》（第87章）所指的律政人員而同時執業為出庭代訟人；及 (c) 在香港的大律師專業中執業或任職《律政人員條例》(第87章)所指的律政人員而同時執業為出庭代訟人：《法律執業者條例》（第159章）第31A(1)至(3)條。另見 Barrister; Queen’s Counsel。 |
