Banking and finance - A financial arrangement in the form of a call option or a series of call options which guarantees a minimum rate of return, but leaves the investor free to benefit from interest rates which rise above the agreed floor level. A floor is a hedging device convenient for investors which protects them from a fall in interest rates. See also Call option; Option.
