| 释义 | 新穎性 The necessary quality of newness possessed by a patentable invention and registered design. An invention is patentable if it is susceptible of industrial application, is new and involves an inventive step: Patents Ordinance (Cap 514) s 93(1). An invention shall be considered to be new if it does not form part of the state of the art: s 94(1). A statement describing the features of the design which the applicant considers to be new shall appear on each representation of the design: Registered Designs Rules (Cap 522A) s 8(1).
