| 释义 | 無效 Lat – nullus – none; OF – vuide – empty. Of no legal effect, not valid, not legally binding. A transaction which is null and void has no legal validity and no legal consequences. For example, where either party to the marriage is at the time of its celebration under the age of 16 years, the marriage shall be null and void: Marriage Ordinance (Cap 181) s 27(3).
