释义 | 受供養子女 A young person who is under the daily care and control, and financial responsibility of an adult. Social welfare and services - A person under the age of 16 in respect of whom an adult has legal responsibility for day-to-day care, welfare and development; or who is wholly or substantially in an adult’s care and in respect of whom no other adult has legal responsibility. See also Young person. Tort - A young person who is dependent wholly or mainly on his parents for maintenance, financial or otherwise. A child under the age of majority is a dependent child and this status may be continued for a longer period in certain circumstances despite the age of majority has been reached, for example, the pursuance of tertiary education. It includes any child or other descendant of the deceased: Fatal Accidents Ordinance (Cap 22) s 2.
