| 释义 | 姊妹船法律責任 A term of marine insurance relating to clauses in a policy for situations where an insured vessel collides with or receives salvage services from another vessel in the same ownership. An action can be brought against a ‘sister’ ship other than the ship in respect of which the liability has accrued if the beneficial owner of all the shares in the ‘sister’ ship at the time of the commencement of proceedings is the person who would have been liable in respect of the claim had the action been brought against that person personally, and where that person was, at the time the cause of action arose, the owner or charterer of, or in possession or control of the ship in relation to which the cause of action arose: High Court Ordinance (Cap 4) s 12B(4); The Chong Bong [1997] 3 HKC 579.
